Thank you again for joining my Facebook Live feed where I made this delicious, nutrient-packed smoothie on August 2, 2016, and welcome all of you who are seeing this recipe for the first time. This is what I have for breakfast on a regular basis. Why? Because it’s easy, fast, packed with phytonutrients to power the beginning of my busy day, and takes the stress out of breakfast.
So, what’s in it? The best in cleansing greens, revitalizing mint, tantalizing blueberries, protein powder, and omega-3-rich almond butter. For anyone that thinks they don’t have enough time to make breakfast, this smoothie takes less than 5 minutes to put together. You can easily add the ingredients and blend while you are getting ready for work. And if you have to run out the door, then put it in a steel canteen, glass container, or BPA-free bottle.

Ingredients (Makes 2 – 3 Cups)
2 cups almond milk (homemade is best)
2 scoops of your favorite hypo-allergenic protein powder (here at Happy Gut Life, ours is the Cleanse Shake gut-healing powder, click here to learn more.)
1 cup blueberries
1 tablespoon of sprouted or roasted almond butter
2 cups spinach
½ cup mint leaves
- Add all the ingredients to a high-speed blender in the order listed.
- Blend until smooth.
Tips: For a lighter smoothie, add ½ cup water. For a frosty delight, blend with a 2 — 4 ice cubes
Blend all ingredients until smooth and enjoy!
